About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Development Accountant, someone who thrives in managing a complex property project and wants to make a tangible impact. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll oversee a national project, property, and fund accounting, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and providing financial insights to senior leadership. This is a rare chance to contribute to a landmark Build-to-Rent (BTR) asset, while gaining strategic visibility and professional growth.

- Prepare and review journals, reconciliations, and GST submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external fund administrators to maintain strong financial oversight.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor project CapEx.
- Provide timely financial insights and reporting to senior leaders and project teams.
- Drive process improvements across systems and controls for the Build-to-Rent project.
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (CA/CPA qualified or working towards).
- Experience in Project Accounting, Property Accounting, or Portfolio Accounting .
- Build-to-Rent experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Proficient in Xero and property management systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven.
