It operates a unique, community-focused employment model that enables individuals to engage trusted support workers while receiving expert assistance with payroll, compliance and financial administration.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join a collaborative finance team and work closely with the Head of Finance. This role sits at the core of the organisation’s financial operations, providing accurate, timely insights that support informed decision-making and long-term sustainability.

You will take ownership of key finance processes including month-end, reconciliations and debtor management, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the function. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who values precision and structure, but also enjoys improving systems and ways of working in a values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end processes, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and updating monthly financial workbooks.
  • Manage debtor relationships through proactive follow-up, clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement, supporting healthy cash flow.
  • Oversee suspended partner processes in line with established procedures, providing weekly reporting on doubtful accounts and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow updates, debtor days reporting and targeted financial reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, re-forecasting and financial analysis to support strategic planning and organisational growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining workflows and enhancing accuracy across finance operations.
  • Manage administration and reporting requirements for Partner WorkCover policies.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance role, with hands-on exposure to month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements; experience with cloud-based accounting systems preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas, with the ability to support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of cash flow management, working capital principles, and Australian tax and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
  • Relevant accounting qualification or degree (or working towards) preferred.
