About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across the organisation.

This is a broad and hands-on role responsible for day-to-day transactional finance activities, payroll processing, reconciliations, and month-end support while partnering closely with stakeholders across finance, HR, and operational teams.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple priorities within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices, payment runs, and supplier management
  • Manage Accounts Receivable transactions, invoicing, and debtor follow-up
  • Process fortnightly payroll, including leave calculations, allowances, and compliance requirements
  • Manage employee payroll records, superannuation obligations, and payroll administration
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with onboarding processes and support HR-related administration when required
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and process efficiencies
  • Build strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Provide general finance and administration support as required


Requirements

  • Relevant experience within finance, payroll, accounting, or transactional finance environments
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations
  • Exceptional attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working across finance systems
  • Experience using payroll systems and ERP systems will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience within not-for-profit, social enterprise, or multi-entity environments will be highly regarded
  • Positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach with strong alignment to purpose-driven environments
