About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across the organisation.
This is a broad and hands-on role responsible for day-to-day transactional finance activities, payroll processing, reconciliations, and month-end support while partnering closely with stakeholders across finance, HR, and operational teams.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple priorities within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable invoices, payment runs, and supplier management
- Manage Accounts Receivable transactions, invoicing, and debtor follow-up
- Process fortnightly payroll, including leave calculations, allowances, and compliance requirements
- Manage employee payroll records, superannuation obligations, and payroll administration
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Assist with onboarding processes and support HR-related administration when required
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and process efficiencies
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide general finance and administration support as required
Requirements
- Relevant experience within finance, payroll, accounting, or transactional finance environments
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations
- Exceptional attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working across finance systems
- Experience using payroll systems and ERP systems will be highly regarded
- Previous experience within not-for-profit, social enterprise, or multi-entity environments will be highly regarded
- Positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach with strong alignment to purpose-driven environments
