An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of People & Culture to join a growing and purpose-driven organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO, this senior leadership role will oversee the entire HR function for a national business with 200+ employees.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with proven experience in people leadership, cultural transformation, and change management. The successful candidate will play a critical part in building and sustaining an engaging and high-performance work environment while collaborating closely with senior management on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement people strategies that align with business goals and objectives

Champion a positive workplace culture, employee engagement, and leadership development

Spearhead change management initiatives and organisational restructures

Partner with senior leadership to drive workforce planning and organisational design

Conduct cultural engagement surveys and translate feedback into actionable strategies

Oversee Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) matters, including EBA management
-
Manage WGEA reporting and ensure compliance with HR governance and policies

Optimise HR systems, including payroll processes and HRIS alignment

Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing HR team
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience : Proven track record in a senior HR leadership role within a business of 200+ employees
- Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in HR, Law, Business, or related field (postgraduate qualifications in HR or leadership will be highly regarded)
- Change Management : Extensive experience leading change management processes and organisational transformation
- Cultural Transformation : Demonstrated success in driving cultural change and fostering employee engagement
- Stakeholder Management : Ability to influence and work effectively with senior leadership on cultural and organisational shifts
- Surveys & Reporting : Experience with employee engagement surveys and familiarity with WGEA reporting
- Resilience & Emotional Intelligence : Self-aware, grounded, and confident with the ability to manage complex situations and difficult conversations
- Personality & Values : Approachable, dynamic, and down-to-earth with a strong set of values that align with our culture
- Industry Experience : Experience within the construction or blue-collar industry will be highly valued
