About the Opportunity
A newly created HR Operations & Systems Specialist opportunity has become available within the People & Culture team, focused on improving HR operations, systems capability and process maturity across the business.
This role has been created to support a major uplift in HR systems, automation, governance and operational efficiency. Sitting at the centre of the HR function, you will play a key role in reviewing current processes, identifying gaps and implementing more scalable and streamlined ways of working.
You will also contribute to broader HR operational improvements across reporting, compliance, payroll processes, documentation and workforce frameworks.
This position would suit someone who enjoys building structure, improving systems and driving operational excellence within a growing and evolving business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise and improve the use of Employment Hero across HR processes and workflows
- Review existing HR operations to identify inefficiencies, process gaps and improvement opportunities
- Drive HR process improvement initiatives focused on automation and scalability
- Review and update HR policies, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance and consistency
- Support HR reporting, data integrity and workforce insights
- Assist with payroll process improvements and future transition planning for in-house payroll capability
- Contribute to the development of HR KPIs, reporting metrics and bonus frameworks
- Support HR compliance, governance and audit activities
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve operational effectiveness and service delivery
About You:
- Previous experience in HR Operations, HR Systems or People & Culture roles with a strong operational focus
- Experience working with HRIS platforms, including system optimisation or implementation projects
- Employment Hero experience highly regarded
- Exposure to payroll processes and workflow automation initiatives
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR compliance requirements
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Comfortable working in changing and evolving environments
- Able to balance a commercial, business-first mindset with strong HR execution
- Experience working within structured or professional services environments, such as legal or consulting, will be highly regarded
