Looking for a new exciting Project Accountant role?
Look no further! This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to take ownership of financial management for a landmark Build-to-Rent (BTR) asset. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee project, property, and fund accounting, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with industry standards, and providing financial insights to senior leadership. This role offers strategic influence, visibility across the business, and the chance to contribute to a landmark residential project.
- High-Impact Finance: Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for a major national asset.
- Strategic Influence: Work closely with the CFO, investment, and property teams to provide meaningful financial insights that support decision-making.

- Manage monthly P&L reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across large-scale property development projects.
- Prepare and review journals, reconciliations, and GST submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external Fund Administrators to maintain strong financial oversight.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor project CapEx.
- Provide timely financial insights and reporting to senior leaders and project teams.
- Contribute to the financial management of a landmark Build-to-Rent (BTR) development and drive process improvements across systems and controls.
About You:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (CA/CPA qualified or working towards).
- Experience in Project, Property, or Fund Accounting.
- Build-to-Rent experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Skilled in Xero and property management systems.
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical mindset.
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management.
- Detail-focused, proactive, and solutions-driven.
