Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Property Accountant will play a key role in enabling the management team to make sound business decisions – maximising income and minimising costs whilst also achieving value-for money-outcomes.
Utlise your expertise in property accounting to deal with the yearly financials of the property portfolio. Build meaningful relationships with management to formulate detailed budgets and analysis of financial information.
Your expertise will provide accurate insights that guide strategic decisions.
Duties:
- Preparation, delivery and management of annual portfolio income and outgoings budgets for each of the assets
- Prepare and submit forecasts for review
- Preparation of monthly financial statements for assets balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement audits
- Tenant invoice preparation, monitoring and reporting including monthly retail turnover rent calculations
- Quarterly review of direct recoverable income and expense reconciliation
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years experience in property accounting or bookkeeping
- Advanced knowledge of excel
- Demonstrated ability to analyse financial reports and provide meaningful information to management
- Comfortable with interpretation and management of leases and management agreements
